REQUIREMENTS & SOLUTIONS

Industrial solutions

The demands for application-specific surfaces are particularly high today, as the service life components has a significant influence on the economic efficiency of the processes. We not only have the latest technologies and processes, but also the expertise to find the right solution for every component - whether it's a small part or a special component weighing several tonnes.

ISOLATION

Permanently protected

To meet demanding thermal requirements, we produce ceramic plasma coatings. The layer structure and the materials used are of decisive importance for efficient high-temperature resistance. This is accompanied by corrosion and wear resistance.

Also for the electrical insulation, our ceramic plasma coating has proven itself. Through targeted post-processing, we ensure that the coatings, depending on their thickness, have dielectric strengths of up to 10 kV. For applications up to 150°C, we alternatively offer a dense plastic coating.

If, in addition to electrical insulation, you also require corrosion resistance at high temperatures in combination with diffusion resistance, our coating with PEEK is the process of choice.

WEAR

Safety through Prevention

Wear reduces the lifespan of machines and tools. Through diverse material and process combinations, we effectively protect component surfaces and thus achieve a significant extension of service life.

As experts in combining materials, properties and processes to create highly resilient surfaces - also as duplex or triplex coatings - we significantly increase your production reliability.

REPAIR

Repair instead of standstill

Time is money. Using state-of-the-art surface treatment technologies, we repair defective components - often within a few days. This eliminates the need for time-consuming and expensive new production.

Depending on the degree of wear of the components, we use hard chrome, thermal coating or laser build-up welding - separately or in combination. This allows us to rebuild heavily worn components true to the original or modify them with an optimised coating. By the way: even incorrectly produced parts can be corrected in this way.

CORROSION

Armour against rust

Our coatings effectively prevent corrosion of vulnerable components - providing safety and ensuring long service lives.

In Germany, corrosion causes economic damage of over 20 billion euros every year. We offer a variety of different processes for prevention:  Thermal coating and welding processes, electroplating as well as painting and powder coating. Depending on the area of application and component, we select the optimal solution for you.

ICLAD

iClad® / Compact head for big tasks

iClad® is the result of practice-based development work by Pallas for its own coating purposes. The outcome is a very compact laser processing head for internal coating of diameters from 30mm and a coating depth of 750mm. All necessary components for beam guidance and shaping as well as for the supply of the process media are housed in a correspondingly optimized casing.

The modular, maintenance-friendly design of the iClad® is tailored precisely to customer requirements and the component geometry to be machined. Active cooling of the optical components ensures constant process temperatures. The internal optics protection and the continuous inert gas purging of the beam path prevent unwelcome contamination and ensure the functionality of the optics even under challenging conditions.

iClad® can be coupled to all common solid-state laser sources. An optional camera connection is available for process monitoring or adjustment.

As a user and developer of the optics, we accompany our customers beyond the purchase of the iClad® with employee training, support them in the specific application and assist in determining process parameters. With our many years of experience, we are your sustainable partner beyond the purchase.
